Sales Tools For My Schools Only: Below, you
will find some forms you can print and photocopy for yearbook sales on your
campus. Most forms are in PDF, so you will need a PDF reader program
like
Adobe Acrobat Reader available free.
The
most popular method in selling involves a few strategies:

Generate Excitement! As your
book sale approaches, get people talking. If you are going to have more
color, more pages & more pictures of students in the yearbook this
year…share the news!

Show Previews! As a rule, people want to see what they are
buying. Consider using “show and tell”. Show photos or quotes of the
week in a display area of the school. Show the cover design – don’t keep
the yearbook a secret until distribution. Load images into your Photo
Slideshow/Widget on-line!

Promote the Sale! Make sure students and parents know when and
where to buy a book. The Sell It! Kit contains lots of colorful sales
posters. Hang them all around the school. Also use the resources you
have in the school and community to get the word out. Here is a list of

Have a fun set-up for sales! Merchandising is the key. Many
people in our area have no idea what a yearbook is since they may have
grown up in Mexico or the family has never bought a yearbook. We
recommend you set up a sales table that has sample books, order forms,
music, a TV with DVD player to show DVD's of school events, and more.
Also, promote school picture day as the yearbook photo day. Let everyone
see the excitement of the BIGGEST STORY OF THE YEAR and make it EASY TO
BUY NOW!
